Mission Statement

Monarch Essentials is a personal and family, natural body care company with a mission of educating and enriching lives through utilizing our hand made products. We strive to give back to our Community and by donating to the preservation of monarch butterflies.

Our Intention

Our intention is to help build a bridge between California native plants, with their many uses, for people of all ages. We intend to extend this bridge to include the monarch butterflies and other endangered species.

Our Products

Monarch Essentials creates handcrafted body care products for adults, children, and babies. Our herbs are organically grown on site, wildcrafted and/or obtained from local suppliers within our local foothills. Oils are sustainable and primarily organic, and our recipes and techniques are unparalleled. We never compromise on ingredients, so our products are of consistently high quality. We utilize the best reusable/recyclable containers with awareness of our ecological footprint ever present.

They are committed to supporting their local/regional economy and enjoy choosing products made from the Sierra Nevada foothills of California. Our customers value environmental and social equity and choose to support a local small business that is reinvesting resources locally and to support our donations to preserving the monarch.

Our Family

The Monarch Essentials Family is made up of positive and passionate people who believe in what we do. We are committed to uncompromising quality and take pride in our work. We grow many of our herbs, expanding our gardens each year. Great love and attention are given to understanding the gifts of each plant. Plants are harvested, dried and processed on site. Each step is carried out with respect and care. We have decades of experience gardening and teaching about plants and are grateful to be able to extend our knowledge and share the gifts plants can provide, through our products.

Our Community

By keeping our business local, we support the small-town and rural economy of our region. Whenever possible we will hire local people and utilize local or regional suppliers for ingredients and materials. Monarch Essentials will provide opportunities to further improve our local environment by selling California native plants, including milkweed and other butterfly plants, to encourage and support the monarch butterflies here in our community.
